Anene Nwachukwu, South West Overseer of Rhema Deliverance Mission International, has commended the developmental strides of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State, saying that he deserves re-election in 2019 to continue with his people-oriented programmes.
Nwachukwu also stated his resolve to mobilise his congregation to vote for Ambode if he seeks re-election in next year’s general elections.
He described Ambode as a serious-minded leader whose exemplary leadership placed above his contemporaries, adding that his visionary leadership brought tremendous transformation across Lagos.
The cleric in Lagos, said that Ambode had been leading by example and urged other leaders to emulate him.
“The governor is doing his best; we can feel the impact of his government in every part of Lagos State. He is really working hard. I have seen him on several occasions at construction sites with his sleeves rolled up. How many of our leaders today can do what he is doing?” he said.
Nwachukwu also commended the governor for the existing security situation in the state, hinting that the Ambode administration improved security in Lagos.
He however condemned the persistent killings in some parts of the country and appealed to the Federal Government to put to an end such wanton destruction of lives and property, particularly in Benue State and its surrounding, where herdsmen’s attacks claimed numerous lives.
He decried the silence of some notable individuals and clergy to the destruction of lives of innocent Nigerians, describing it as deplorable.
He appealed to distinguished Nigerians to rise in unison and condemn the ongoing massacre in Benue and other states of the federation, warning that the current state of the nation calls for urgent action as further delay would spell doom to the country’s future and charged security operatives to restore normalcy to the troubled areas.
