Obule Promises Urhobo Quality Representation At Orodje’s Palace

Charles Obule, Delta Central senatorial hopeful, has promised quality and effective service to the Urhobo nation if elected to represent Urhobo land I the Red Chamber of the National Assembly.

The senatorial aspirant, who spoke in Okpe dialect while addressing ‘the Idogun’ (the Supreme Council of Okpe) at the palace of the Orodje of Okpe during his consultation visit to the monarch, hinted that he called on the royal father to receive counsel and blessings.

He added that the counsel and blessing were of utmost importance to him to back his senatorial ambition. The Erhi of Okpe Kingdom told the Orodje and the ‘Idogun Okpe’ that he was in the race to attract development to the Urhobo nation, which is in dire need of Federal Government’s presence, and to support the SMART Agenda of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his second tenure, to ensure the continuity of the laudable strides of His Excellency.

He explained to the Okpe monarch and the mammoth crowd that he would use the Senate as a veritable platform to boost Governor Okowa’s success in the state. The barrister emphasised that as an experienced legal luminary and a seasoned resource manager, he had the requisite knowledge to effectively represent Delta Central, to make the Urhobo nation proud among other ethnic nationalities.

He added that if given the senatorial mandate, he would use his influence to attract trade and industries to his core mandate area.

While harping on the need for Deltans and indeed all Nigerians who are 18 years and above to get ready for the general election, Obule said: “May I once again seize this auspicious opportunity to encourage every son and daughter of Urhobo and indeed all Nigerians to embrace the ongoing Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) registration exercise to get their permanent voter’s card (PVC), which is fundamental to the success of our nation’s democratic process and to consolidate the progress Governor Okowa, the ‘Ekwueme of Africa’ has made in his first outing.”

HRM Orhue l, the Orodje of Okpe, in his response, thanked Obule for the brilliant presentation in flawless Okpe dialect and for making himself available to be of service to the Urhobo nation, stressing that Obule is a man with credible track record.

The Okpe monarch prayed God to recognise the qualities and contributions of Obule to the Urhobo nation and crown his effort with success.
